1/ eat - somewhere stunning like Kudeta and somewhere simple a local warung.
2/ drink - plenty of whatever takes your fancy...Bintang is good!!
steer clear of arak.........arrgh
3/ be merry - enjoy yourelf at every opportunity.
4/ sit down and talk to the one of the locals, listen and learn from them.
5/ If travelling on your own strike up a conversation with anyone you come across, in the pool, at at bar, on the beach, because in the company of strangers you will never be alone...
