Hi kaaz. We (3 couples)stayed for 14 nights in october last year. it was our second stay there. We love the Barong. cheap clean basic accomodation. Staff are soo friendly. Great central location. Heaps of great warungs close by. Unless you are there to party, i would recommend asking for a room at the FRONT part of the hotel. the pool and bar at the back is 24 hr and when the "party people" come home from the nightclubs at 3 or 4 in the morning, the noise coming from that area can be VERY disturbing. We had to move rooms due to noisy neighbours at 4am. we moved to the front part (the hotel was excellent in this regard. they moved all 3 couples during peak period for us.) and never had a problem after that.
