Closest is either:
Inna Kuta - right on Beach on the south side of Hard Rock Cafe. Closer to Kuta Square. Have not stayed there but recently refurbished and looks ok. Good value for the location.
OR
Mecure - opposite the Beach (as per Hard Rock), small roof top pool, small rooms, modern. To the north side of the resort.
Both right next door virtually.
Yes, Poppies Lane is good and cheaper, but Bounty is a party hotel - depends what you are looking for. Hard ROck is more family orientated.
Another cheap hotel relatively near Hard ROck (near the McDOnalds) and opposite the beach is Kuta Seaview Cottages, but not recommending as have not been there, just been past.
