They don't have to go to a Western Union office - they can go to Mandiri Bank, Rakyat Bank, International Indonesia Bank or a Post Office (plus lots of other agencies) and doesn't matter if Java or Bali or any other country. You just complete transfer form with person's name etc and pay the money at australia post, you will get a code/receipt number, then sms that code and sender details to receiver, they then go to ANY agency to show photo ID and give code and sender details and approx amount and they get the money. You don't have to specify which agency to collect, they can collect from any of the above banks/agencies or anywhere in the world. The cost for sending $AUS100 was $22 so far cheaper than the bank charges. They get the money in 15 minutes. Works really well and very easy for them. Just make sure the receiver name you put is the same as their photo ID - and if they only have one name, just repeat that as first and last name on the form.
