Just get a small amount at the airport to tide you over until you can get a better rate.
2. If i get a bali sim card do i still have my phone number.. or do they give me one??? And what is the code to ring mobiles in bali to ring aussie?? Is it +61??? And is it cheaper than using international roaming with optus??
No you will get a Bali number.
Buy a starter pack which will get you the sim, a number & some credit
To ring a Bali mobile it is +62 (and drop the first zero of the number)
To ring/msg an Aussie mobile it is +61 (and drop the first zero)
Usually roaming is not cheaper..There are many posts about the cost involved etc so just do a search for more info
