Same, same, we started in Sanur too and agree that the beach now looks superb. A bit similar to Koh Samui, as in the sun lounges are out on the sand during the day and the dining tables come out of an evening. The sand is raked and looks goreous. The Bonsai cafe was doing a roaring trade, yet other restaurants are quite. Overall Sanur was quiet (especially last Friday!)
We have spent the last 3 days in Ubud and Tegal Sari has another wooden room now with a room being built on the rice paddies towards the monkey forest, so 15 rooms now, with room financed by guest happening now. (Yes to Jess, your bookings are confirmed, I recall 2 or 3 Super deluxe, old wooden for you, 1 deluxe, 1 standard)
We did the Bali Bike Budaya ride down from Kintamani yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed the 25 km downhill. The locals are so lovely and friendly, and yes we did see the 'village idiot' naked with rather long......hmm, what shall I say, a well endoured man!
Today we are off to Seminyak then last 4 days in Kuta.
Bali is better than ever, is that possible?
