We have the same driver where possible in Bali, so i suppose it depends on the Driver and the the passengers. We would never not invite Made to eat with us, and he will always except. We don't view him as a servant,but as a friend. And yes some of the restaurant staff do look down at them...stuff them...we are the ones paying. So it all depends on how you feel about the driver, and I suppose how he feels about you.
