I never sterilised my daughters bottles at home or when in Bali, I would boil bottled water & wash bottles in this & then put them straight into the fridge until next bottle was needed & used boiled bottle water & cool bottled water to make it the right temp as so many people, nurses etc told me it is impossible to sterilize baby bottles, once anything is touched it's not sterile, so I never bothered & I have a very healthy 6 yr old!
As my hubby is local we go if required to a local Dr, including Specialist Peadiatrician that my mother in law used to Nurse for in a Private hospital, but as they would not know the language etc, I'd say best to use BIMC if required!
If the child is fussy re food: I'd take my own jars of food. Also baby will eat less so as long as it drinks plenty of fluids that's fine! Hope that helps a little, we took daughter over at 9 wks & will take new baby as soon as 1st immunisations are done too!
