was first 6.5 months old... it was great! We took all nappies (in with the surfboards) and took all formula, jar or tinned food, sterilising tablets (milton which I don't normally use, but for 2 weeks it was fine). Getting all food in was fine. We bought a kettle over there and a jug to heat bottle up in, and then gave it away.
We took over pram and cot mossie nets, plus our pram. YOu can buy prams over there though.
Just sprayed rid on her and the pram and around the cot. GP recommended rid over anything else.
Used mossie coils outside the room too.
It was great, we had a great time. A nice break. The balinese just completely took over with bub, as they LOVE kids.
Just make sure you have heaps of fluids for bub when you get off the plane as it is very very hot hitting the heat for them. We also had heaps of jelly to feed her, for the water too.
Don't have Dr contacts over there, but my GP said if there were any probls, to call him back at home...
Bub was fine, we were fine and had a great time.
Make sure you organise a cot for the plane trip over and back.
Don't have second thoughts, just do it. It will be a different trip with a child, but a pleasant, fun and new trip with a bub. We are now taking over our 4 yr old and 14 mth old. Our 4 year old, will be on her 3rd trip over - she has been at 6.5mths, 2.5yrs and now again in June and WE CAN'T WAIT and neither can she.
