I believe the only thing they removed from the original formula was a preservative. I took Travelan this trip and wasn't sick until I stopped taking them when I got home. Became sick with BB for about 3 days after I got home. Hubby didn't take them and was sick for 2 days while we were there. Our 2 kids didn't take anything at all and didn't get sick either there or when we returned home.
