re the zips used by Aristo at Merry's collection.He's in Jalan Padma Utara near the Bali Coconuts hotel & just across the road from the Circle K store.He will also come to your hotel for fittings but we prefer to go to his show rooms to start with so we can look in his books & choose the exact material we want.
He is very fussy about his work & will show you the type of zip he uses before he makes your jacket.I don't consider he makes anything " to a price " as such because he won't cut corners by using inferior materials or products.We don't bother bargaining for a price with him,we just go in & tell him exactly what we want & ask for him to give us his best price.He also has plenty of books to look at & samples of materials & colours so you can make up your mind.
If you do go to see him mention my name or BTF.If you do go elsewhere keep in mind the tips Filo gave you & make sure you are very clear about the quality of what you want.
BTW - my lovely soft leather jacket I had him make was a long line ladies jacket & he charged about $100.It is a lovely pale mint green colour & everyone comments how nice it is.He also makes men's suits for my husband with 2 pairs of trousers they cost about $125.I've had many outfits made as well at very reasonable prices.
