I think it depends how much of a rapport you have with them .If i had a driver for a one of type of thing i may not have them come for lunch. Our driver Made Mangku is great definately doesnt expect to come out but we will often invite him for dinner especially if at places like Jimbaran Bay. In Ubud he tends to hang out with the other drivers where they wait. If were shopping in Denpasar he often comes with us and just knows where everyones located also takes care of all our shopping. If at springs etc just tends to catch up with others or read the paper . If in Kuta will drop us off and will come back later or we just text him thar were ready. Definately whenever we get a drink we always buy Made one just common courtesy for their efforts esp when its so hot
