The "sale" has been on since the spa opened, as far as I know. It was in full swing in May 2003 when I first stayed at MBR and had been on for a while already then. They were talking about running it till "the end of the year" etc at that time.
I'd be very surprised to see them ever revert to "full" price. I think the 50% off is a great gimmick that gets people in there, while still paying a decent price for the services. If they ever went to their full list prices, their business would drop off because they'd be way too over priced.
The service is good and the setting is nice, and they are worth what you pay at the moment, but they're not worth double that amount.
