Yep visited the SD 3 Sobangan today and met lots of our children. Oh boy the preasure was one being the only sponsor there! About 60 or so children turned up, although the school is closed. We gave out heaps of colouirng books etc and most will have received something but oh boy! Those boys can be so crazy.
We watcjed the Ogah ogah parades last night and once again watched the crazy young boys scare away the evil spirits. Some Ogah ogah have been burnt and others they still have on show. So much work goes in to making them!
We are in Ubud now at peaceful Tegal Sari. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
Vila Shanti was lovely in Sanur and highly recommend for terrific value for money and absolute beachfront. Mida the Bali travel agent was worked out to tbe briliant. One example, we negotiated thru Mida US$45 per night for Superior room at Vila Shanti, yet hotle rate shows $60. I asked to book direct with them for our stay in Aug and they wouldnt go lower than US$50 per night. When I said agent could book cheaper, they said book thru agent. Fine!
Off to dinner at Cafe Lotus after lunch today at Indus. Its the life.
Its still hot and very humid.
Rate has been lower at 7200 to Aud since banks have been closed from last Wed to Mon, due to Galungan and Nyepi.
