Why not just take it as read that they're bloody cheap and be pleasantly surprised how cheap when you get there?

As soon as you have a price list, everyone you know will want to look at it, then they'll want to put in orders with you before you leave etc. Trust me on this, it's way more hassle than it's worth.

I only got stung by one girl at work who begged me to bring back some of the roll up place mats and coasters. Had to be a setting for 10. "I'll pay you when you get back". No problem.

Brought the damn heavy things home (along with a second lot of 10 that were being divided up between my parents and my brother).

When she saw them she says "Oh, is that the only colour they had? The ones I saw at Myers were in all sorts of colours. No, I don't think I'll have them thanks."

Now, this only worked out to be about $15 worth of gear, but they were heavy and I had to lug them off and back onto planes when stopping over in Melbourne etc.

Anyway, a long story has gone on way too long... lesson learned. I won't buy for anyone anymore and if I don't have a price list before I go, nobody will be tempted to ask me :-Þ
