Mostly I would say yes. I went to Bali in Nov with a girlfriend of mine and we did not have a problem. Sure you get the odd wolf whistle or little comment but it was not that bad at all. I would say pretty much all the drivers that are reccomended on here would be good people.
The driver we used, Made, has a young family and was very polite and concious of the fact that we were two women travelling alone. He offered saftey advice throughout the day as we were travelling and what we should expect going to certain tourist spots. Also he was concious of telling us the little tricks that sellers use etc. He was just a genuine good bloke as we would say.
