If this is the seven-storey hotel in Sanur,any issues might relate to the fact that it is the only high rise hotel in Bali, and because it was recognised as spoiling the 'essence' of Bali, the planning laws were changed so that now no building can be higher than a coconut palm. (That's as I understand it).
Haven't stayed there so wouldn't know about any other issues.
If you like it, that's what matters.
