It gets back to the type of trip you want.
We did it with Bali Adventure Tours (BAT), yet we did the combo with White Water Rafting (which included lunch) .... they picked us up - drove us to the fafting drop point, did the WWR'ing (with the kids - 12 & 13 at the time), at the end of the rafting we had hot showers / towels etc, then nice lunch (buffet style), next stop was the Elephant park - rode the Elephants, had a drink and snack (we paid for that) and then they dropped us back to the hotel in Legian. I think the total cost was approx AU$100 each (April 2004 trip).
We were going to do the rafting again in Dec / Jan, yet ran out of time. Going again in April, so may try and do the rafting again.

If you wanted to get up there yourself, from around Kuta area to the Elephants you should pay no more than Rp100,000 (so about AU$14) one way with private airconditioned transfer. If you want any further details, just drop us an e-mail.
