The shop is still there and the ownership is the same. Tommy ran the shop together with Desma from New Zealand - a business partnership only. Tommy has since studied law and graduated with distinction.
You can find him at their restaurant, also called Tommys, in the next street along from Padma which most people still call Rum Jungle Rd.
Have brekkie or lunch there - the foods good.
