The food is sensational Sal. We had friends that got back last week and it was there first trip to Bali and they couldn't believe how good the food was. They ate everywhere and said the food was better tasting and presented than some places they have eaten at in Melbourne and I'll second that. Don't shy away from anything, their food is all part of the Bali experience. Within reason of course, I personally would never eat off one of the little side carts. Although Im careful and pack the bali belly remedies, I've never been really sick there although I do get a slight case of the runs a day or so in. I think this is pretty normal in such a different climate, different spices and some different food in general. You'll be fine! If you are ever in the Sanur area for dinner and are up for some Italian, try Mossimo's. It is sensational and you won't regret it, my fav restaurant in all of Bali.
