There are people in Bali working gambling scams. One time I was in Mataharis in Kuta Square when a young guy who said he was a tourist from Singapore struck up a conversation with me. [I talk to anyone and everyone!] Then he introduced me to his sister and her friend and they came up with some pretext that they'd like some info on Perth. They suggested that we sit and talk in a cafe which was "just a short drive away" and their driver was waiting outside.
I walked outside with them, got a description of their vehicle and the rego and then told them that I didn't have time. I reported the matter to the police and was told that they would have got me involved in gambling and ripped me off. Just a warning, I know it can happen.
