1. I have always eaten everywhere!!! Even from the street vendors! Never been sick once while in Bali. I have found Kori's is a little exspensive compared to alot of other resturants in Bali.
2. Walking distance between Barong And Matahari's is not far at all. Both Legian & Kuta Matahari's are about 10 minute walk from Barong. Legian probably a little closer. If you walk straight up poppies 2 to Legian st and turn left, its on the left right hand side of the road. It would probably take you just as long in a taxi because of the one way streets. Also you can probably get most of the stuff you are after at Circle K. Alot closer to Barong.
3. There are shops everywhere that sell these items (-real oakleys). I have found that shopping in Ubud is cheaper and the further you go from Kuta square things aren't as exspensive.

The oakleys part i cant help you with sorry! But in my opinion the fakes look just as good as the real ones!
4. McDonalds i found fine to eat. Tastes a little different from here. They also have alot of different things on there menu.
KFC i found the chicken a little off putting! I think we can blame the skinny chickens! Not white breast meat like ours have!
Also you can ask for no ice if you like but there ice is safe!
