Out of Perth is quite different to returning.
Although your ticket says you are allowed 20kgs, the counter staff have been told there is no charge up to 32kgs per person. The maximum weight per single item also is not to exceed 32kgs. This second part is a WorkSafe limit.
We take a fair amount of equipment with us each time and usually ask for (& receive) an extra limit and each time have been told at the counter that it is unnecessary because we haven't exceed the 32 kgs each.
So far, they have not taken the weight of the surfboards into account.
