Gianni, not sure if you have actually booked your accommodation yet but i have just booked to stay in Amed to see what its like around that area.We already have a hotel paid for in kuta but wanted to give something else a try for our next trip. Have a look at this www.balibeachhouse.com its a 3 bedroom house with great views right on the beach owned by an american guy with Balinese caretakers. Its across the road from Euro Dive where you can hire all your equipment. The reef is 40 metres off the beach and about 100 metres wide then a drop. The balinese guy who lives at the back Nengah used to be a chef so you can pay to have your meals ie seafood etc cooked there. We will be be back in April so can let you know more about it then but think it gets booked quickly.
Would probably look at staying there plus maybe somewhere a bit more commercial for the rest of the time. Judi..
