Haven't stayed but it does get good reviews. It is further up from The Aston and walking distance to many good cheap restaurants. Plenty of gold cabs in the area to take you into Kuta. Can't tell you if they have a free shuttle into Kuta but doubt it as none of the other hotels had free ones, only paying ones.
