since I was in my 20's - even IF I still feel & act as if I was in my 20's at times <LOL>
To be honest you are of a similar age to my daughter & her partner (mid 20's)& IF they could ever manage to organise themselves money wise & pay their own way to Bali I'd suggest either the Bounty or the Barong - naturally I have already suggested it - daughter wants to go OS again but HE can't afford it so I think she's waiting till Mum takes her for 18th birthday present for a Mother & daughter trip.
Obviously what my other half, myself & teenage son like would not be up your alley but I have a few suggestions /ideas for you.Personally I think Kartika Plaza & Bali Garden would be way too family orientated & too quite for your liking - lots of rugrats ! The 3 of us absolutely love the MBR & there where quite a few young couples in their 20's that we met there when we where there a month or so ago BUT mainly Mum's & Dad's with families - it's not really a party place if that is what you are after.I think for a young couple that a Superior room right next to the new pool at the MBR would be lovely. It's a lot quiter than the old pool (less kids )& the rooms are very nice & they have a swim up bar at both pools.I am sure you would love it there re next to beach location hotel.
I think the Ramayana may be a bit too laid back & being on the Kuta /Tuban border it is way too far away from any lively action on Jalan Legian for what I expect you would be looking for. From what I've read the Padma Hotel is very nice but it's not party central for young people.I think you'd be happy with something close to Poppies 1 or Poppies 2.
BTW - if you want a lovely romantic dinner go to Pappa's - the Italian place on the beach - it's almost down to the end of the beach road but before you get to Melasti st.The food is yummy & the staff do not intrude if they see you want quite time alone with your special person. It's a bit dearer than a cheapie warung in Poppies BUT truly worth it for the atmosphere.
I can't comment much on the other hotels other than to say maybe the MBR would suit you perfectly for what you want for your the 2nd week. The facilities are great & it's got a fantastic location.Good luck with finding what you are after.Wishing you & your other half the holiday of a lifetime.
