Hey trd, dont go on the local ferry. We were convinced by others a few years ago to take it to get to lombok, and it took 5+ hours and by the end of it, it stunk! We got the plane back to Bali after our stay on Lombok, which was heaven compared to the ferry trip. Only problem, they didnt fit boards on and decided they would just send them to us on the next flight without telling us. Over an hour later, us and another couple waited for them to finally arrive before heading back to our hotel.
