There is a Telkomsel outlet just outside of Ubud, towards Gianyar. Simpati and re-charges are available with no commission charged. Just ask a driver in Ubud to take you to the Telkomsel shop.
Sim cards are also available at Tino Supermarket in the main street, but they charge commission for the card and re-charges.
