Maybe wait till youve been there a few days and usually you will find you have a few fav people whether on the beach or in markets that you tend to deal with and just ask them usually more than grateful. I have done this every time and currently getting ready to go in two weeks and i have things for the orphanage /girls on the beach/one of the stall sellers/ my driver and family in Kuta/toys for a child at a house well be staying at in Amed/ things for my drivers village plus a few extra toys for any other kids along the way so i tend to divide it up a bit and everybodys happy. We manage to pack in one suitcase so weve got 2 spare for all the bits.
