Being able to you put it behind you would have been quite an effort. To then have the Mecure add to your woes, and be in Bali when the Tsunami struck! A work colleague was over there then but came home early because everyone was so depressed (and weather). You deserve a determined tourist award!! Glad to see you managed to have some fun regardless.
We are currently booked into the Jayakarta but are wanting to change to the Mecure. We're enticed by the lush gardens, nice quiet beach and bungalow set up. Are they as good as advertised? Are the Lombok room balconies big enough for 4 people to have after dinner drinks on? The isolation doesn't worry us, but is it only 300 metres to outside restaurants?. Your comments are a worry as you are one of a few that have posted about this place. Prehaps it's fate that our travel agent hasn't gotten back to us with prices after 10 days, 2 calls and 1 visit!
Did you get another job? Sincerely hope you have a wonderful honeymoon. Sounds like you could use a break.
