We just got back on Thursday and my son and his frind bought fireworks while we were there to set off on the beach. The first night was ok but the fireworks were not that good. The secind nihgt they had bought different firewoks that were rockets. They set off a whole box full (about 50) and they were a bit better than the first lot and they actually made a bit of a bang and divided into two colours. Just as we had finished and where walking back to the road we saw blue lights. It was the polici!!! Fortunalty for us we had a Balanese friend with us who told the police that if it was illegal to set them off they should not be sold. The police said they would let us off but not to do it again. My son was very careful and set them to go off over the water but they are concerned they might go into the thatched roofs. It was fun to watch but very scary thinking we could have ended up in their jail!!
