We booked last month for September, our flight is now fully booked. Airfares are pretty much the same regardless of when you book. We paid $930 + taxes each from Melbourne. The deals you see for flights and accomodation are nearly always outside of school holidays. If you plan on returning before 20th December then you should get a reasonable deal on a hotel as you will effectively be in the 'shoulder' rather than high season. Expect your flights to be in the $900-1000 range if you book accomm throught the same agent..
