ubud is nothing like Kuta. It is where the beautiful heart and soul of bali can be seen in every small encounter. (It can be seen in Kuta, too, but it's harder!)You will find the weather a little milder, the sounds and smells amplified, the people both Balinese and tourists more open and smiling, and the wonderful Hindu culture surrounds you. Your chldren will enjoy a variety of walks and performances and will find everything they could wish to shop for at the market or along Monkey forest rd. If you love to eat and cook, Ubud is for you. If you love walking, bike riding and rafting, Ubud is for you. If you like to mix with friendly people and gain an insight into the daily lives of Balinese families Ubud is for you. take at least 4 or 5 days. Each day will be better than the one before.
