Go to Ubud, you'll love it. Stay at Ubud Village, Pertiwi cottages, Cendana or Honeymoon Cottage.
You can do many more trips from there and it is certainly nothing like Kuta. We have a few nights there every year and love it.
Culture, plenty of it.
