The wife wants to wash and curl her hair; send her to a hair salon (just prior to happy hour usually works well), and don't forget to tell her how lovely she looks when she comes to drag you, whoops, pick you up on the way home afterwards.
Whilst the daily visit to a salon may well be cheaper than adaptors and convertors, the waiting may cost a tad more, but hey, what the dang!
