out of the front gate turn right and walk up past the road on the left hand side (don't go to the one near the surf shop in Rum Jungle road - he is a rip off) but just past that road there is a tourist shop and the young girl in there is totally honest, gives you a receipt after she shows you how much you will get and then counts it out very slowly so you can follow her. We have been changing money there for the past 5 years with never a problem. There is one in the Kodak shop on the corner as well but husband was taken there once so try and use the other lady.
