Now I'm not a small man (5'11" 225 pounds). I'm actually built like your average NFL running back. I have a 54 inch chest, really broad shoulders, and really big thighs. This being said, I do fit well in one seat, but don't have alot of room to give.

On a flight (about 14 hours) I was sandwiched between two 350+ lb pound men. They didn't enev come close to fitting into thier seats. Sure they wedged thier arsess inbetween the arm rests, but thier guts, arms fat, and everything else just hung over the top of both sides me.

I just wish that was the worst part. I am a pretty layed back guy. Not too excitable at all. But both just smelled rank. I'm not talking your general run of the mill haven't had a shower today type of stench. I'm talking about that sharp, harsh I have not used a shower or soap for over a week type of stench. Oh yeah, the plain was full. No extra seats to move over to.

Well, complaining got me no where. Flight attendant even said they should not have been allowed on the flight with the smell issues they were haveing, and they should have booked two seats. The ticketing agent actually split them up becuase she knew they wouldn't fit next to each other.

When we landed I was greated by a person who worked for the airline and was refunded for the flight. After finishing up the paperwork I noticed I could still smell the other two guys. I asked the airport agent is she could smell it as well, and she could. You see, they were both sweating on the flight and it soaked into my shirt. I scrubbed myself in the shower for an hour after that.

Soo, my biggest flying pet-peeve is if you are too big to fit in one seat, get two. If you cannot take a bath, or shower before you fly, stay home.
