Thank you for all the answers. I was to have visited an orphanage last November but was ill that morning. I must admit though I was not looking forward to it as I thought I would be in for a real culture shock. I think the orphanage was run by the Salvation Army. I had been put in touch with a Balinese member of Rotary and he came to my hotel and took everything for me. I will probably contact him again when I return in May.
I will definitely try the glasses shop as I am ready for a new pair. I will get a new prescription and take it with me. Is that what you did? Thanks again, Heather
