I am lead to believe that e-ticket has been sighted and my name is spelt correctly. I will see it Wednesday morning!

One could suggest that heads could roll over another 'stuff up'.
Because the agent wasnt earning any dollars in arranging these tickets it appears that service has been lacking.
In my business (I am a financial planner) I often do 'freebies' for my clients in order to help them in their planning or processing. I dont earn a dollar when I help my clients fill in their centrelink forms etc, but so be it, I win some I lose some. Its service!
Travel agents must realise that they too are in a service industry!
