A Balinese girl who I know quite well runs a little roadside shop in Tuban. She had a friend visiting, a young Muslim girl from Sumatra. The Muslim girl usually wore just a short denim mini skirt and a teeshirt. Maybe some people would regard this as almost impossible, but it happened.
Another time we saw a Muslim girl, wearing a head covering, on the back of a motorbike. Her skirt was nearly up around her waist. I thought, only in Bali could you see this. Even our taxi driver saw the funny side to this.
