Things which DON'T bother me:
Drinking beer in the street. Same as drinking water or Coke, as long as the person concerned doesn't get full and objectionable. [BTW I don't drink beer, except diluted 2 parts lemonade to 1 part Bintang.]
Guys going into shops and restaurants without shirts, don't do it myself, but so what?
Girls going anywhere [except for temples etc] wearing bikinis. Just recently there was a girl in a bikini with just a translucent sarong slung around her hips in Woolworths supermarket in our local shopping centre, Waikiki Village [Western Australia]. Didn't seem to be bothering anyone. Certainly wasn't bothering her boyfriend. Plenty of guys go in there without shirts and barefoot. Glad I live in a laid back sort of place.
"Swearing" is a matter of degree for most people. I grew up in an era when f*** and similar was generally reserved for armed forces and work sites. Now it's primary school talk. It has been suggested that it is simply an abbreviation for fecundate---to make fruitful---from the Latin word fecundus---fruitful. Sounds feasible, doesn't it?
And "bugger" is now almost universal. I suppose I've got accustomed to it.
I'm absolutely with you on excess noise, particularly at night when many people are trying to sleep. I'm careful to avoid hotels where this is likely to happen, as I'm sure you are too.
But I don't like passive smoke, which is now relatively easy to avoid in Western Australia.
