Lots of travellers get an upset stomach in Bali but its usually not Bali Belly.
If you change your diet suddenly at home you know what to expect and the same thing will happen in Bali, particularly if you get beguilled by all the readilly available and beautiful fruits.
Be strong! On the first day have only the same number of fruit pieces as you would at home and increase this by one each day and you'll have no problem.
The water is the cause of most Bali Belly, and you need not drink the water to get it. Resist fruit that has been washed, cold drinks that come out of ice slurry and so on.Have a look at the link below for all of the touted remedies that you can get beforehand or whilst in Bali. Its in a big file of information and will take some time to load right to the end.
Be cautious but not paranoid about it. We've been going to Bali since '79 and have only had it once - but we both wished we hadn't had it even once.
Have a great holiday.
