They also had a notice put up clearly warning guests that any food taken out would be charged extra. It appears some guests were actually filching food for later ;-(
Since, you made a comparison with Phuket and Fiji, let me say that the buffet breakfasts we have had in Thailand, Malaysia or Singapore were as good, if not slightly better. But, it really doesn't matter, as the food is good and has adequate variety. And, yes, I suppose if you wanted to, you could eat enough for the rest of the day. Not something that we would want to do, though. Enough said.
