"Stayed at White Rose for first time. Very nice hotel. Nice friendly staff. Appreciated my (attempted) use of Bahasa Indonesia. For Mic and others - room set up. There are about 10 separate blocks, each of 3 stories each. On each floor there are 6 rooms, but divided into two lots of three. You enter through an outer door (key needed) into a large lounge room with couch, chairs, lamps and air con. Three rooms then lead off this - your room key opens the main door and your own room. I was on my own, and even though there were people in the other two rooms in my section, I never saw them in five days. Each room also has a little balcony (if you're upstairs), or a little verandah if you're downstairs. They have 2 chairs, a table, and one of those drying rack thingies. Rooms are quite spacious with fridge, TV, IDD phone, wardrobe, shower over bathtub. The blocks around the pool (about 4 I think) are the delux, and have in-room safe, mini bar, and bathrobes. They cost more. Pool area quite nice. One restaurant by pool, another one upstairs from lobby - neither restaurant suitable for disabled. Large number of older people staying their (over 60's), and a few over 30's. Not many young people. Some families with older children. Laneway to Jl. Legian is curved and only wide enough for one vehicle at a time, hence the two "guards" at either end with walkie-talkies, but they do also keep an eye on the guests - being on my own, I felt quite safe. Only hassle were the people in the little shops (manicure and leather shop) in the lane way. Located opposite Poppies II, and next door to Paddy's Irish Pub - bit of noise coming from there late at night."
