If you were thinking of staying at the Conrad and your friend mentioned the Hyatt then she was obviously referring to the Grand Hyatt in Nusa Dua, which I think would be in a better position as far as restaurants and the beach are concerned. The lagoon (beach area)outside the Grand Hyatt is probably more suitable for kids there any other beach in Bali. When you refer to the Hyatt rooms looking tired I believe it is the Sanur Hyatt that people have referred to tho. Hope this helps
