we stayed at the Flora Beach hotel... (new owners now,) was just off Jl. singosari, in kuta.. close to everything. Its only 2 star, but...Quiet,has a beautiful clean pool at your doorstep, aircon room tv phone mini fridge safe deposit box etc. Staff very friendly and helpful. and soooo cheap!!! we had a special through flight centre, and the accommodation was only $AUD49.00 each including breakfast, for 8 days!! I think their rooms are $20.00 per night normally, (you pay for the room, not how many people). maybe worth a look!
