Sanur's gorgeous. And you can always take a day trip to Seminyak to check out the shopping. We always stay at the Griya Santrian, and we love it. Do an archive search for "Griya Santrian" and you'll see what I mean. I believe the Besakih is also lovely, though have never stayed there myself.
Sanur is quiet, that's true, but for us 50+ people who don't like the party life, it's a great place to go.
