I stayed at the Padma over New Years in a deluxe chalet and it was fantastic!
I don't think you should spend $30 a night extra on a garden deluxe chalet simply for the free booze and food. I am pretty sure our rooms were the same.
$30 per person per night for one week is an extra $420. You won't spend $400 a week eating & drinking what you like at all the hotel bars, pool, or room service. My bill for 2 weeks was $400 and we lived it up.
You will love the Padma. Lets us know what you think.
