What airline are you flying with? We flew business class with Garuda last year as a treat for my 40th birthday. I was not really impressed. The service was nothing special and my seat was broken so did not work properly on the way over to Bali. A couple of years ago we flew Malaysian airlines and got upgraded for nothing on the way over (not sure why we got it though?). I thought it was wonderful (probably because it was free) and the service was excellent as was the food. We were offered champagne/drinks even before I was settled in my seat properly. That is why we decided to splurge for last years trip and ended up a bit disapponted. Of course that is just my impressions and I am sure there will be others who would highly recommend the upgrade. I would save your money and use it to spend on whatever you want in Bali.
