If you're a bit into different works of art go to the Balihai Resort beach, which is about the last one towards the airport runway extension, and look for a kite flying if the winds are a bit on-shore. The guy flying it will be Peter the kite man and he has the most amazing kites, all magnificently hand made and works of art. You will find cheap and poor quality copies of his work in several local markets but these are the real deal. There atr boats, burrwerflies and dracons, some with ratchet noise-makers included. He will make special colours for you if you give him a fer days notice.
Peter is a Balinese gentleman as well an artist and if you have children or grandchildren he will also weave you an anklet/wrist band with their names woven into it.
